Make our soups daily, but yes on occasion.
Found this gem while driving home from a family vacation. So grateful to have stumbled into this witch's kitchen. She was so humble and so sweet when she told us she had just whipped up some chocolate eclairs that morning. I had the red pepper soup which I soaked up every drop of, but was glad I only had half a sandwich because you HAVE TO save room for dessert!!! Incredible food and adorable decor, all provided by the sweetest witch in Pennsylvania. I live in Ohio, and started planning my next camping trip to the nearby Bald Eagle State Park as soon as I finished licking the chocolate off my fingers!
Very nice place, the owner and her daughters are very friendly and helpful. My wife had soup and hot Turkey with gravy sandwich, very delicious. I had a steak, egg and cheese bagel sandwich which was also very good. The pecan pie was nice, the apple tart was delicious. We'll definitely be back again.
Super nice staff and the food was fantastic.
This place is in the middle of nowhere, but I loved it. From the artistic decor, to the German influenced food.
The owners are very down to earth, the food was well priced very good and homemade. They know the area and gave us some good entertainment tips! So if your hungry and want that home cooked meal. Then Kitchen Witch Cafe is a good place to go!
Awesome Rueben. Fast service and great coffee.
Made a special trip 30 plus minutes from visiting family in state college, and was EXTREMELY disappointed. Went specifically for the gluten free options. Couldn't eat more than two bites of the pancakes, tasted like salt and baking soda. Even the bacon was inedible, too thick and rock hard. What a waste of time, money, and still hungry😒
Everything is made fresh and in house . super sensitive to dietary needs . just like eating at moms. Everyone is super friendly . and the sticky buns !! A family favorite .
Tasty fish sandwich and seasoned fries!
Lots of love in the food. The hugs are better though.
We found this eclectic little cafe while driving through PA via I-80. It's not too hard to get off, and getting back to I-80 is a short but very scenic drive. My husband had the ham and potato soup and Reuben. The rye bread is homemade and was very good. I had an Angus burger and fries sprinkled with Rosemary.Their desserts looked good, but we didn't have any. We would recommend this as a good alternative to fast food chains.
The French toast was fantastic, service was quite good, and prices were very reasonable. Overall a great place to have lunch!
Amazing food and service.
Good food clean bathroom. 2nd visit
The food was delicious and it's such a quaint little place. Very friendly staff. Loved my Bob Omelet!
Absolutely delicious, homemade food with a sweet family feel. Down to the homecut French fries, the food is worth the short trip off the highway! Wonderful service, food was prepared quickly and full of flavor. What a treat!
Cozy, welcoming cafe with superb food! Most of the menu is both gluten and dairy free, and what isn't gets kept scrupulously separate. I had a fabulous seasonal sandwich, and REAL fresh-cut french fries laced with rosemary. Located practically in beautiful Bald Eagle State Park, this out-of-the-way spot is well worth the trip. Magic indeed!
This is my favorite little cafe. Everything I've tried there (most of the menu) is fantastic from the breakfast l, to the sandwiches and the amazing soups that are not found anywhere else. I'm lucky enough to live close by, but this stop is worth a drive if you want exceptional food. You won't be disappointed. Did I mention there are freshly made deserts.
Good hamburger and seasoned fries.
We either dine-in or carry-out from Kitchen Witch when visiting Bald Eagle State Park. It really feels like you’re in someone’s kitchen, which is a nice change of pace from larger restaurant operations. They have a menu to please everyone, including all-day breakfast for picky eaters. Portions are great; quality and taste are excellent; and prices are reasonable. If there’s no other diners when you happen to visit, don’t let that sway you!
We go here for breakfast quite often. Great specials and real bread. There lunches are different and good.
We passed through on a road trip and were very pleasantly surprised. Had grilled portabella burgers for dinner and breakfast sandwiches the next morning, all of which were excellent.
Tasty food with great gluten free options. Friendly staff and atmosphere. A nice treat when visiting Bald Eagle state park.
This was the best pot pie that I've ever been served. Friendly and accommodating employees and atmosphere, and I love the witch title.
Always good food and good service. Would highly recommend.
The food is great, and the service is even better.
Wonderful meal and the desert was ever so good!!😊😊😊😊
Excellant breakfast
Small menu, but it mostly has everything it needs. Reasonable prices. Pleasant service. A favorite with the locals.
Fabulous home crafted food ... simply delicious
A local gem!!! I can not begin to tell you how good the food is here. From a serious foodie, I can assure you that just off I-80 is one of the best meals you can get. Sticky Buns on Fridays!
Great find on our way home to Ohio. We wanted to find a local place rather than one of the many chains. We found this place, just a short drive off Interstate 80 in Howard PA. Small cafe with really good homemade chicken pot pies, meatloaf, corned beef, soups and sandwiches and great desserts. Breakfast is served all day (8am -7pm most days). Very friendly staff and prompt service. We will definitely come here again!
Amazing place to eat. Very friendly staff and a quaint feel. Will definitely be back.
Always amazing home cooked meal.
Great food friendly service one of my favorite breakfast spots
Great food and great service
I like the atmosphere, good food, we come to eat when we're in town
We are staying at the rustic campground not far from the cafe. The food is excellent! Great burger with a fresh bun. Also had the meatloaf and chicken pot pie later for dinner. Excellent again! Next we'll go for breakfast (available all day). What a great little place to visit not far from the university, beautiful drive, quaint town, great food and right close to Bald Eagle State Park.
We dined here during our stay at Bald Eagle State Park, and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. My 13 yr old daughter could stop saying how comfortable it was to be there, and how homey it feels. The women working there were some of the kindest people we've met in a long time; making sure to keep every customer satisfied despite special dietary needs. If you're ever there and the prime roast sandwich is on the menu order it! You won't be disappointed 😊
Nice place to visit. Lot's of food, good prices.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere. The owner is an amazing chef who clearly loves what she does and is most certainly a kitchen witch. Magical!
Ham and cheese omelet was fantastic home fries with great customer service was excellent
Amazing food! Each item had a unique twist that made it exceptional! Clean restaurant with very nice folks working here! Take time out to enjoy this gem!
Excellent food. Donna and Penny were the best.
This place was very friendly. The food was amazing. She makes a lot of the food with stuff she grows and a lot of homemade food. Will definitely be going back!
Great restaurant for breakfast and dinner. After a long day at bald eagle state park we went here for dinner and ordered the chicken pot pie. It was very affordable and the service was amazing. The vibe inside was very comforting and smelled like fresh home cooked dinners. Our chicken pot pie came out in 15 minutes and was so good we decided to come back for breakfast. Even though it was a full house Sunday morning at 10:30 am the service was still outstanding. I ordered the three piece French toast with bacon and it was the best breakfast I’ve had in ages. If you like French toast this is the place to get it.
Service and food was awesome! First time and definitely not the last. The chocolate cake with peanut butter icing was amazing!
Just did a burger, fries and sticky bun. All were prepared well and tasted good. The fries are fresh cut and seasoned. Staff were pleasant and friendly. FYI they are closed on Mondays and there is a $10 minimum to use a credit card.
Worked up a hunger so we googled it. Quaint place with good food.
The best homemade food around . All fresh no preservatives !
